FOOD BANK DONORS

Baptist Health South Florida plays a vital role in supporting nonprofits throughout the region, focusing on enhancing community health and wellness. Through their generous grant programs, they provide essential funding to local nonprofit organizations, enabling them to implement health initiatives, educational programs, and support services that cater to underserved populations. These grants target critical areas such as mental health, disease prevention, and health education, ensuring that even the most vulnerable community members have access to necessary resources and care.

In addition to financial support, Baptist Health actively collaborates with nonprofits by offering their expertise, facilities, and volunteer services. They organize and participate in community health fairs, educational workshops, and wellness screenings, providing valuable medical services and information to those in need. By fostering partnerships with local nonprofits, Baptist Health helps to create a network of support that addresses the diverse health needs of South Florida’s residents, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more resilient community.

Farm Share is Florida’s homegrown food bank. Founded for and by Floridians, Farm Share has been serving those under food insecurity since 1991 with the simple but innovative idea to recover crops from Florida farmers in order to distribute fresh and nutritious food to Floridians in need. 30 years after our inception they have fed millions and are now Florida’s largest independent food bank!

Farm share programs provide a direct link between local farmers and consumers by allowing members to purchase a share of a farmer’s crop before it is grown each season. … Each week during the season, the farmer delivers a share of great-tasting, healthful food to predetermined locations, where members pick it up.

Feeding South Florida is the largest, most efficient food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. More than 98% of all donations are put back into the community.
